Uniform Bar Exam study for...yes, $10.

This does not look fun.

What passing the bar exam is NOT about:

- Reading thousands of pages of study materials provided by a bar study course.

- Reading and memorizing 20-page-plus MEE subject matter outlines over and over again (if you can even find any THAT short!).

- Reading and memorizing 20-page–plus MBE subject matter outlines over and over again (if you can even find any THAT short!).

- Making, reading, and memorizing flash cards for any period of time.

- Completing hundreds of MEE practice essays, timed or untimed.

- Completing tens of Multistate Performance Tests (MPTs), timed or untimed.

- Studying the few hundred recent MBE multiple choice questions you can find.

- Studying based on “your unique learning style”. (LOL, seriously?!)

(YES, I REALIZE THIS GOES AGAINST MUCH OF WHAT YOU MAY HAVE BEEN TOLD BY WELL-MEANING PROFESSORS, BAR EXAM STUDY COURSES, CLASSMATES, REDDIT, ETC.)

So what IS passing the bar exam all about?

It’s about learning the CORRECT study strategies based on how the exam is scored and based on how to learn the material regardless of your learning style, and then using the BEST resources to maximize your learning in the most efficient way.

Imagine your future...

Hi, I’m Marcus

I graduated from law school in 2009. I paid for BarBri ($$$$) and was so overwhelmed with the (XXXX) pages of reading and (XXX) hours of lecture that it was impossible to focus and then have energy left over to do practice multiple choice questions and essays. When I went to take the bar exam, I left the testing center after the first day because I knew I wasn’t prepared enough.

Could you see this happening to yourself?

In 2014 I planned to take the bar exam again. This time I purchased Themis ($$$). There were less pages of reading (XXX) and fewer hours of lecture (XX), so the workload was more manageable. But I believed I would perform poorly on the overall exam unless I memorized my outlines perfectly and did extremely well on the essays, so I focused much more on the essay portion of the exam. Finally, during the bar exam someone had a long, loud mental breakdown in a room full of thousands of test-takers, and the essay exam proctoring software servers crashed during the upload of my files, causing part of my essays to be lost. I failed the bar by one point.

Do you know anyone who has experienced a close miss?

In 2018, I tried to study for the bar exam while working full time. Again, I purchased Themis. While I had less time to study each day, I did use my time relatively efficiently, and got through most of the lectures, outlines, multiple choice questions, and practice essays. But it wasn’t enough, and I failed badly on the essay part of my score. On a positive note, I scored well enough to transfer my MBE score to DC. Thus if I took the bar again in DC, I would only need to study for and pass the essay portion of the bar exam.

If you could transfer part of your bar exam score to another jurisdiction to make passing the overall exam “easier”, would you do it?

In 2019, after transferring my qualifying MBE score to DC, I decided to sit for just the essay portion of the bar exam. I purchased a MEE outline ($$) and past MEE essays ($$), also visiting every “MEE essay prediction” website to know where it would be valuable to focus my efforts. Despite studying my outlines endlessly and doing hundreds of essays in preparation for the MEE, I still failed. Little did I know that taking the MEE only, unless I had memorized my outlines word for word (an impossible task for me), was a horrible decision. After learning more about the intricacies of the bar exam, I decided to study one last time.

If you are a multi-time bar exam taker, have you been maintaining the same bar study strategy but studying “longer” and “harder” for each successive exam, only to fail again and again?

In 2020, with a radical new bar study strategy, mostly different study materials, and a completely different study schedule, I FINALLY passed the bar!

Now it’s time for me to pass this knowledge on to you, for only $10.
